Mission Statement
"The purpose of the Mt. Nebo Evangelism/Discipleship Ministry is to actively carry out the Bible mandate found in Matthew 28:19-20. Verse 19 declares that we, "go ye therefore and teach all nations..." Our ministry is designed to have a threefold approach:"
- We actively share the gospel with individuals who are in jail via our Jail Ministry. We have a monthly worship service and we also engage in one to one evangelism counseling. Each participating inmate receives a Bible and religious literature
- We share the gospel by going door to door in the Spring to ensure members of our community have a chance to hear the good news of Jesus Christ
- We send out evangelism letters designed to reach individuals who are not in our immediate community
A host of other auxiliaries are also involved in evangelism. We believe that Acts 1:8 empowers us to do great things when it says, "But you shall receive power, after the Holy Ghost is come upon you and ye shall be witnesses unto me in both Jerusalem and Judaea, and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth. .
